Returns & Refunds Policy
Last updated: 10 July 2026
This policy explains your rights and our process for returns and refunds when you buy from Paul Jacob Kurpiewski, trading as Maptun Australia (ABN 84 181 449 571). It should be read together with our Terms & Conditions and Shipping Policy.
Nothing in this policy limits or excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
1. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures you are entitled to a replacement or refund, and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
A product is not considered faulty, and you are not entitled to a remedy, simply because you changed your mind, made an incorrect selection, or the product is not suitable for a vehicle or configuration it was not designed for.
2. Change-of-mind returns
We do not offer change-of-mind returns or refunds. Please choose carefully and confirm compatibility before ordering. If you are unsure whether a product suits your vehicle or setup, contact us for fitment help before you purchase — send your vehicle type, brand, model, engine and current hardware to info@maptun.com.au.
3. Digital licenses and software
Many of our products are digital activations (licenses, software, service applications) that may be tied to a VIN, ECU, Maptuner device or account.
- Once a digital license or software product has been issued, activated or used, it is non-refundable, except where required by the Australian Consumer Law (for example, a major failure that cannot be remedied).
- If you have purchased a digital product but it has not yet been issued or activated, contact us as soon as possible and we will assess whether cancellation is possible.
4. Hardware (cables, Maptuner devices and accessories)
Physical hardware is covered by the Australian Consumer Law guarantees. If hardware is faulty, not of acceptable quality, or does not match its description:
- Contact us at info@maptun.com.au with your order number, the product, and a description (and photos/video where relevant) of the issue.
- We may ask you to return the item for assessment. We will advise the return address and process.
- Where a valid claim is confirmed, we will provide a repair, replacement or refund as appropriate under the ACL.
Please keep your proof of purchase, as we require it to process any claim.
5. Faulty or incorrect items
If you receive an item that is faulty, damaged in transit, or different from what you ordered, contact us within a reasonable time at info@maptun.com.au. We will work with you to resolve the issue, including covering reasonable return shipping costs where the item is confirmed to be faulty or incorrectly supplied.
6. How refunds are processed
Where a refund is approved, it will be made to your original payment method. Refunds are processed in Australian dollars (AUD). The time for funds to appear depends on your payment provider.
